NCP_WIDE.NET representatives from the whole Europe and Associated Countries beyond as well as Widening NCPs and invited guests gathered in Cracow, Poland on the 13-15 September to take part in series of events focused on Widening package and innovation divide. The meeting was organized by the coordinator of NCP_WIDE.NET project: National Contact Point form Poland.
The meetings consisted of three parts:
- workshop How to communicate widening package successfully
- 2nd European Advisory Board Meeting
- 6th Steering Committee Meeting and Consortium Meeting - NCP_WIDE.NET Project
The idea of the workshop on communication was to give support for NCPs operating within Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation in disseminating and communicating effectively the vast possibilities connected to SEWP and its main actions: Teaming, Twinning, ERA Chairs and COST. The coaches who gave lectures and provided interactive excercises focused on the importance of communication. Thanks to the meeting the participants enhanced knowledge and capacities in the following areas:
_ communication strategy and use of communication tools in NCP job,
_ Widening target groups and their expectations,
_ tailoring communication goals towards target groups,
_ proper communication of Widening package in Widening and Advanced countries,
_ proper communication of innovation divide issue,
_ communication rules within NCP_WIDE.NET.
Moreover, we designed dedicated communication campaigns integrating various tools and strategies allowing to target main Widening package stakeholders.
The workshop was followed afterwards by the 6th Steering Committee Meeting and 2nd European Advisory Board meeting. We hosted as well a representative of the European Commission.
